IF: Lonely

Thank you all for last post's support, I never dreamed to have been chosen to be the highlight of the week in IF. It was a great honor.

I am still playing with textures and styles but I'm liking what my style is developing into. This piece was done digitally though I am trying to create an image that you would think was done traditionally. Any criticism is welcome. :)

  1. Yes, it definitely has the feeling of a wood engraving piece.
    Anyway, great work! =)

  2. Really beautiful work!!! I think it looks very much like a wood block print. There's one little thing that may help it look even more real: I'm not 100% sure, but if it was really printed on wood block, the carving lines wouldn't scatter across the line where two colors touch, but they would more likely create a separate line there...does that make sense? (I may be way off base, but that's the only area that looked digital to me!)

  3. I agree it looks like a wood block print. And it has so much storytelling in it. Is he running from something, or waiting for something? The composition is really nice.
